Our fave hotels : Number two with Emma

Our next contributor is Emma Bradshaw.  Emma’s been in the industry for 12 years so knows a little bit about lovely hotels all over the globe.  However her absolute favourite property is Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons.

What’s your favourite hotel?

Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons in Oxfordshire.

Where is it?

Tucked away in the beautiful village of Great Milton.

What do you love about this hotel?

The intimate setting in the beautiful English countryside, and one of Britain’s finest gastronomic experiences.  Whilst it’s one of the best hotels in the world, it manages to have a lovely relaxed feel to it, a (rather lovely) home away from home!  The grounds are amazing, with the most perfect lawns and kitchen garden.

And of course the food is incredible, Raymond Blanc is a genius.  I was lucky enough to meet him when I visited and he’s was lovely, a true gentleman and a culinary god!

What kind of incentive would it be perfect for?

High end rewards, top sellers and VIP’s. Perfect for couples, it’s a very romantic “boutique” hotel.

Each of the rooms are individually designed. The hotel was awarded two Michelin stars in 1984, the first year of opening, and remarkably, has held them ever since – pre-booking is a must.
